ABOUT ELLE ELIZABETH
Hi! I'm Lauren, the owner and creator of Elle Elizabeth Cakes & Confections. Elle Elizabeth is actually a pseudonym I created for my cake artistry inspired by my first initial, middle name and love for baking deliciously beautiful things. Bringing joy to others with my sweet, custom creations is what I'm truly passionate about. At Elle Elizabeth Cakes & Confections, I want to exemplify accessible elegance and unique customization through my creativity, keen attention to details, and outstanding service and provide my clientele with exceptional confectionary creations for their special events.

My Background
My love for baking first began when I was 3 years old, baking our generations old, family cinnamon buns with my wonderful godmother, a tradition that we have continued each year still to this day.
As I grew up, my love for baking and creating continued as a hobby, making special treats over the years for family, friends and coworkers.
I graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in International Business Studies in 2012, and continued on to work in the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine for 6 years following that.
After much deliberation and soul searching, after 6 years I made the tough decision to leave my position at UPenn, and moved to Chicago to pursue an education and career in pastry and culinary arts.
In 2018, I Graduated from The French Pastry School of Chicago's L’Art de la Pâtisserie and L’Art du Gâteau programs, receiving honors for my work in their Cake program.
During my time in Chicago, I had the privilege of working for and staging with a number of prominent (acclaimed or renowned) bakeries and boutique cake shops, where I was able to enhance my skills and refine my cake artistry. I have also had the honor of learning from world renowned cake designer, Maggie Austin.
I am now excitedly back on the east coast, currently based in Wilmington, DE, and delighted to be creating confectionary works of art for the Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey areas, baking life sweeter one cake at a time.
